The Archipelago of Nuestra Señora del Rosario is located 46 kilometers southeast of Cartagena and is one of the 46 National Natural Parks of Colombia. 

The Corales del Rosario National Natural Park is made up of 27 islands, islets and keys that give it that name. Isla del Encanto is located in the extreme southeast of the Corales del Rosario National Natural Park. In pre-Columbian times it was populated by the Carib Indians and inhabited by people of African descent during the Spanish domination.
